On 26 April 2018, three girls visited Grieshaber Precision at this year's nationwide Girls Day.
At 7.30am, second and third year apprentices received the girls, aged 11 and 12, at our main entrance.
After the company presentation and the safety briefing, the participants practised caliper reading exercises. With verve and perseverance they made various components for a nutcracker under the guidance of the trainees. Most of the workpieces were independently processed by the girls.
In various processes such as turning, drilling and milling, they got a good insight into the daily work of an industrial or cutting machine operator. After individual parts were still polished and varnished, all parts could be assembled. The installation went smoothly, which also resulted in very positive feedback.
After an exciting and informative day, it came to an end. After the final photo, we said goodbye to the girls and wished them all the best for their future educational studies.
