‹ Back Integration weekend 2017
On 8 and 9 September, the annual integration weekend took place for the new trainees of the companies Grieshaber and Supfina. In order to give them a good start in professional life, we spent the days together in their hometown Regensburg, at the invitation of Mr. Wolfgang Grieshaber and his wife.
This year we started at 7am in the morning by bus. Once arrived at the destination, we were warmly welcomed by Mr. and Mrs. Grieshaber. We visited together with the company Krones, which manufactures filling systems for beverages and other liquids. After an interesting company presentation, we went to the production halls, where the machine structure and the process flow were both explained in detail.
Now that we knew how to make and fill bottles, we were hungry and headed for the historic "Wurstkuchl". There was a classic Regensburg specialty for everyone.
Afterwards we were treated to a tour of a slightly different type. With amusing spectacles it was a real experience. We were brought closer to what the city of Regensburg had seen in earlier years with murderers, thieves and other marginalised groups.
On the evening of the first day we were invited by Mr. Wolfgang Grieshaber and his wife to the Bavarian traditional inn called the "Ratskeller". After some good food and drink, we moved on and made it to the end of the day to see a spectacular fireworks display.
The next morning we started with a delicious breakfast in our youth hostel and then immediately went on to the "Raketenbau" or "Rocket Building". Each of us had the opportunity to build and design a rocket. When all the rockets were ready to fly, we were able to go to the nearby launch site to shoot them into the sky.
At the end of this year's integration weekend, trainees from the fourth year of their apprenticeship received their admission card to the department where they will work after the apprenticeship. Finally, we returned to Schiltach and a successful weekend came to an end.
